Take a moment to think back to where you were before you encountered Jesus.

The Bible tells us we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony in Revelation 12:11. ‘Testimony’ referring to our very own personal application of God’s Word in our lives, our story of glory through Gods perfecting of us and transforming us from glory to glory to be more like Him. We have the victory over the enemy and can bring God glory through all we overcome through Him being in our lives. Essentially: My Story, for His Glory!

In this song we took some time to think about what God has done and we sing about how we once were broken, we once were lost, but for reasons we beyond our ability to fathom, He loved us, healed us and saved us! Jesus did this for all mankind: Isaiah 53:5 NLT: ‘But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could
be healed.’ What an amazing Saviour. He’s love for us!

Jesus pursuing us: The Pre Chorus
We know that Jesus pursued mankind by coming to earth to die for our sins 2000 years ago to bring us salvation and to reconcile us to God. We also know God has been present for us from the beginning. You see, God has never given up on us, and, Jesus to this day is interceding for us in Heaven.
Romans 8:34 ‘Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.’
Psalm 139:7-8 ‘Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!’
Zephaniah 3:17 ‘The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.’
1 Peter 2:9 ‘But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.’

The love and freedom we live in: Verse 2
When you turn to Jesus and give him your all, His love comes ‘crashing in’, His love casts out all fear, and He brings us freedom. Read John 8:36 ‘So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’ Maybe at times you have felt unloved, this leading to rebellion or running away from the things of God, but we should know that love of God never fails! Psalm 136:1. Accepting and receiving God’s love is a decision that will change your life! Perhaps you have been through difficult times of loss or
tragedy. Jesus is the one who will wipe away your tears and give you beauty for ashes and turn your sorrow into dancing. God brings true freedom and we wanted to express how that freedom isn’t worth trading for anything in the world.

In the bridge of the song, we wanted to praise Jesus for Him being the reason we can stand in victory overcoming what we once were and once thought before knowing Him. We have confidence addictions can be broken and strongholds loosed! Every thing that enslaved us is broken off of us. We believe that in our praise and worship, as we sing songs about him and lift up His holy name that
we have the victory! There are certain things that can change only through the power of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is so good and there is much to be thankful to Him for such as taking our pasts and writing a victorious future for each of us as His children. Join us in declaring this anthem of victory through defeats and triumphs! Tune it up in your car, in your house and share it with others. His love is our victory!
